Feeding the Hungry (A poem of Arturo Kusanagi)

The doors swing open,

The unwashed hordes roll in,

Their scent a signal to the servants,

of untold joy to come.

Do you need clothes, miss? This way!

Do you need shoes, young man? Over here!

Do you need a shower, sir? Follow me!

Do not be afraid, the feast awaits!

For a thousand hours the edge has divided,

the fires have refined,

to sift the morsels and make them ready.

Here upon this table we have laid ourselves,

that you may know his name.

-Arturo Kusanagi, 2399 AD
